What recorded delivery means?

How long is 1st class signed for?
Whereas First Class Signed For will provide you with a signature but it is not next day. My understanding, Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For, 90% will arrive with in 3 working days and it is open to consumers. With signed for delivery, it only shows where a parcel is once it has been signed for, there is no visibility en route. Whereas with parcel tracking you can view where the package is and its delivery progress along the way.
What happens if special delivery is not delivered?
If you’re not at home, we’ll attempt to deliver your item* to your neighbour and leave a card. If we can’t deliver to them, we’ll leave a card and take the item back to the Customer Service Point. You can then either collect it or arrange a Redelivery (full details will be on the card).
Does Next do free delivery?
Delivery to stores is free. You will be advised of the earliest delivery date at the time of order. The next day delivery to store service applies to most orders placed before midnight on any day.

Is recorded delivery more expensive?
It’s important to clarify that recorded delivery is not tracked. Instead, all that’s required is a signature on delivery to prove the post has reached its destination. However, for can be just an extra 68p (recorded delivery compared to first-class post), proof of delivery is well worth the added cost.
